Encouragement

Wednesday, February 27th, 2008

This has been a tremendous month!  God has been working in ways we have not expected and we have been receiving encouragement from a lot of different areas.  People have sent us e-mails out of the blue telling us we are on the right track.  People from the past have come forward and offered support.  Churches we didn’t think we would ever connect with have scheduled speaking engagements.

At the moment we are around 60% of our support.  More keeps coming in.  Hudson Taylor, a misisonary to China in the 1800s, said, “Depend upon it, God’s work done in God’s way will never lack supplies.”  We’ve discovered when we give it over to God (and really give it), then God will provide.

Wow!  Be blessed and be a blessing…

Another Hurdle

Just a quick note…

We started jumping over another hurdle this morning and went to the post office to get Soraya’s passport in the works.  It’s hard to get a good photo of an infant, but the pictures were taken by someone at the post office, so it should work.   We’ll know in 2 to 4 weeks…

Pray for us as Audra and I  divide and conquer when we go two different directions tonight:  Audra to Dalton and me to Marrietta.

Back online (mostly)

It has been a long time since our last post.  Our computer is still on the fritz, but we are in communication with the person willing to fix it for us.  We hope to get the laptop to him this weekend when we will be back in the area where he lives.  In the meantime, we’ve continued speaking at churches all the way across the state and just down the street from home.  We have almost all of the “regular worship times” scheduled through the end of March and have calls out to churches to schedule the remaining ones (I think there are only three or four empty spaces).  I’m excited that I was also invited to bring the message at the Easter sunrise service at LaFayette UMC.

God has indeed been at work.  Our support continues to come in.  We’ve begun meeting with friends and partners face-to-face asking them to pray about partnering with us.  It has been a good experience.  If they partner financially, great.  If not, their prayers are tremendous!  It’s also been good to reconnect with people we ahven’t seen in a while.

I know this is not the most exciting post, but I wanted to let you know we are still on the road…

God bless you in all you do.
